Redressal
of Grievances of the NRIs is one of the Prime Objectives
of the NRI Sabha Punjab. An NRI having grievances can
approach the office of the Sabha personally on any
working day with the complete record of documents. After
going through the relevant records of the case, the
concerned Department will provide necessary guidance to
the NRI. If the NRI is abroad, he can depute his nominee
to discuss his case with the officials of the Sabha. In
other cases, the NRIs can file his complaint/ problem to
the President NRI Sabha Punjab Jalandhar by Fax on
0181-2227644/e-mail nrisabha@gmail.com.
In case the complaint requires police intervention, the
same can be sent directly to the SHO NRI Police Station
of the respective District.

To avoid the chances of any fraud with the students who wish
to study abroad should check the list of recognised colleges/universities
before hand from the website of "ukborderagency for recognised
colleges".They can also search with the word recognized
colleges of other countries e.g. “recognized colleges of New
Zealand” etc.
