The
instructions issued by the Punjab Govt. Department of
Revenue and Rehabilitation vide Memo No. VO/FCR/2005/10014-23
dated 28.12.2005 in this regard are reproduced below:-
The
disposal of work by these Fast Track Revenue Courts of
NRIs has also been reviewed in a high level meeting
chaired by the Chief Secretary to Govt of Punjab and it
was decided to ensure the transfer of the Revenue cases
of NRIs to their Fast Track Revenue Courts from the
existing other Revenue Courts of SDMs/Tehsildars/ Naib
Tehshildars. The review is being done periodically.
After
holding review meeting with the Presiding Officers and
the President NRI Sabha Punjab, the Divisional
Commissioner Jalandhar Division has issued necessary
instructions to all the Deputy Commissioners to ensure
immediate transfer of NRIs revenue cases to their Fast
Track Revenue Courts and also to take steps to create
awareness of these courts. A copy of letter No NRI
(S)/14741-60 dated 04 Aug 2008 issued in this regard is
reproduced below:
All
the NRIs are humbly requested to immediately get their
pending revenue cases transferred from the courts to
their Fast Track Revenue Courts and also keep in mind
that for filling any new revenue matter case, they
should go to their respective Fast Track Revenue Courts
for the sake of speedy disposal of their cases. The Fast
Track Revenue Courts for the NRIs have been opened by
the Punjab Govt on persistent efforts made by the NRI
Sabha Punjab, at present having more than 10,000
members.
Fast
Track Judicial Courts
The
NRI Sabha Punjab is making all efforts to press the
demand of NRIs for the immediate setting up of Fast
Track Judicial Courts also because large number of NRIs
cases are pending for a long period in a Civil Courts.
The Punjab Govt is contemplating to open 2 Fast Track
Civil Courts for the NRI cases in Jalandhar and Ludhiana
and the matter is actively under process between the
Punjab Govt. And the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High
Court.
